Kathryn leads Amplify Capital, a leading impact fund in North America by way of its authentic impact venture investment platform. She is known for her passion for social finance and 25 years of private equity experience. As a social venture leader in Toronto, she founded and led Social Venture Partners Toronto in 2007 to 2012. Kathryn joined to lead the MaRS Catalyst Fund in 2015, a MaRS and Virgin Unite collaboration to launch an early stage impact fund in Canada in 2016.
Prior to Amplify and MaRS, Kathryn spent most of her 25-year career investing and managing venture capital and private equity in small and medium-sized businesses, both in Toronto and New York City. In Toronto, Kathryn spent time at CIBC Capital Partners, BMO Capital and Lynx Equity. In New York, she was a Principal with Constellation Ventures, a Bear Stearns-GP sponsored fund, and an Associate Director with MetLife Ventures, the Corporate VC arm of MetLife. Kathryn has held numerous board roles in both the US and Canada and often provides strategic, operational and impact advice to the portfolio companies.
In 2023, Kathryn was appointed to the Board of the Canadian Club Toronto. The CCT’s mission is to connect the business community and promote an inclusive and prosperous Canada.
Kathryn was born and raised in Toronto and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Columbia University in New York City.

Prior to joining Amplify Capital, Daniel worked for Canada's largest venture capital investor. He started his career working for Fortune 500 technology companies including Microsoft, OpenText and comScore, before moving to the Bank of Canada, where he spent time on asset management for the pension plan with the financial markets department responsible for the foreign reserves portfolio and domestic debt portfolio.
Daniel spent nearly seven years with the BDC supporting venture capital investments in direct companies, as well as Funds and Funds of Funds. He also did a consulting mandate at Rio Tinto Alcan during his MBA and held a number of board roles in Canada.
Daniel has an undergraduate degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, an MBA from HEC Montreal, and has successfully completed all three levels of the CFA program.

Prior to joining Amplify Capital, Samantha helped build the strategic investments (venture) program at Sun Life Financial, where she focused on companies in the healthcare and financial services industries. While there, she also contributed to M&A activity across all business lines globally, and to the launch of a new healthcare business in Canada.
Samantha began her career in investment banking on the M&A team at Scotiabank, followed by four years on the Bank of Canada's market intelligence team. Most recently, Samantha was on the private equity team at Fengate Asset Management, an alternative investment manager with more than $8 billion of capital commitments under management.
In 2017, Samantha was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Society of Sharing (SOS). SOS is a non-profit that provides socialization support for isolated and low-income seniors living in the City of Toronto.
Samantha holds an undergraduate degree from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, and an MBA from Wharton Business School in Philadelphia.

Before joining Amplify Capital as an Associate, Louis worked for CDPQ, a global investment group with over $400B assets under management with offices in ten countries. He started his career as an accountant and participated in direct private market investments, including private equity, venture capital and infrastructures. Louis played a leading role in structuring and ensuring highest governance standards within portfolio companies.
Louis holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration as well as a Specialized Graduate Diploma (D.E.S.S) in professional accounting from HEC Montréal. He also has the CPA designation and is a CFA Charter holder.

Trish is an entrepreneur, operator, and climate finance leader with 15 years of experience building ventures and investment strategies to drive impact.
She co-led CoPower, a clean energy fintech platform, from pre-seed through acquisition by Vancity, and later served as Managing Director, Climate Finance at VCIB, where she structured financing for decarbonization projects across Canada. At MaRS Discovery District, Trish advised asset owners on impact investment strategies, launched a venture accelerator, and incubated the MaRS Catalyst Fund—Amplify Capital’s first fund.
Trish has contributed to climate innovation and impact investing through a range of advisory and governance roles. She currently consults with Fondaction Asset Management on a carbon-tech investment fund, mentors founders in CDL’s Carbon Removal Stream, and advises CICE’s Women in Climate Tech initiative. Her work has been recognized with awards including Clean50’s Environmental Entrepreneur of the Year and the MaRS Ewart Newton Award for Social Innovation. She holds a master’s in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews.

Andrew developed an interest in impact, entrepreneurship, and venture capital through his experience in Canada’s exciting tech start-up space. While working in strategy, marketing, and demand gen with ecobee and TouchBistro, Andrew saw first-hand the impact that venture capital funding has on early-stage companies.
Before joining Amplify Capital, Andrew worked for Audencia Business School (Nantes, France) with the Multi-Capital Accounting and Integrated Reporting Institute. He worked with companies across many sectors, sizes, and geographies to apply environmental and social impact measurement tools and inform strategic decision making to improve their net impact on people and the planet.
Andrew holds an undergraduate degree from Carleton University and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Prior to joining Amplify Capital, Jotham was developing and designing novel medical devices and applications at various hospitals and medical device firms. His early career in venture began at RBC Ventures as a product analyst helping to develop new internal products and strategy. He later joined iGan Partners and GreenSky Capital as an analyst to support their growing healthtech and deeptech investments.
Jotham is originally from Vancouver and has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Prior to Amplify, Andrea spent most of her 25-year career working in and with scaling businesses, and high-growth companies in multiple industries both as a fractional and in house CFO/COO. Most recently, Andrea spent three years as the CFO at Highline Beta, a pre-seed stage venture capital company and venture studio focussed on corporate/startup collaboration.
Andrea is particularly proud of her accomplishments as CFO of the Toronto 2017 Invictus Games and her work in the Ontario Public Service, working in the Pan and Parapan Am Games Secretariat to deliver the Toronto 2015 games. She has also worked in corporate innovation and corporate development at Bell and Virgin Management Limited. An accomplished executive, Andrea brings her wealth of experience in early stage venture capital, finance and operations to the CEOs and portfolio companies that she serves.
Andrea has sat on several not for profit boards and has a keen interest in corporate governance. Born and raised in Toronto, she has also lived and worked in Italy, France and the UK. Andrea has an HBA from Ivey Business School and an MBA from INSEAD in France.

In addition to his role as an Amplify Capital Venture Partner, Will Falk is an Executive in Residence at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he has taught since 2008. He is also a Senior Fellow at the C.D. Howe Institute and an Innovation Fellow at the Women’s College Hospital Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care. Since retiring from PwC in 2017, he has invested in and advised multiple healthcare-focused startups.
Will’s public service includes advisory roles in first ministers’ meetings, ministerial reviews, and healthcare panels. He serves on not-for-profit boards like the AMS Foundation and Children’s Aid Foundation and corporate boards, including Verto, Alayacare, and Home Capital.
He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and an M.P.P.M. from Yale University’s School of Management.

Prior to joining Amplify Capital as a Venture Partner, Dr. Sohaib Siddiqui built a diverse career in healthcare as a physician, clinical researcher, and investor. Shifting from patient care, he now manages a private family office fund and serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Sohaib has held CEO roles in digital therapeutics and sits on boards for device and digital companies.
He holds a B.ScH from Queen’s University, degrees in Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and an Executive Education Certificate in Digital Health from Harvard Medical School.
